It's always about the new gear. Congrats on the run. For having a dad with a running backgroud, we sure aren't runners.

Training did not happen this week. I've been to busy saying good bye to seniors.

Looking for a reason to get into shape, accomplish a difficult goal, and hang out with friends? Commit to competing in the Wildflower Triathlon in 2008. The Wildflower Triathlons Festival is scheduled every year for the first weekend in May at Lake San Antonio in Monterey County, CA. There are many different races for all ability levels so everyone can join in! We can use this blog to discuss who wants to race, the highs and lows of training, and to stay motivated.

Event Descriptions
Mountain Bike Sprint: 1/4 mile swim, 9.7 mile bike, 2 mile run
A great event for novice and beginner triathletes, this is the place to get started in the sport of triathlon! Age groups begin at 8 and under and continue to 70+.
Olympic Distance Triathlon: 1.5 K swim, 40 K bike, 10 K run
This world-class course is a great race for both beginners and accomplished competitors. It includes amateur age group and a relay team event.
Long Course Triathlon: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
The Long Course is one of the premier triathlons nationally and internationally. It is one of the most challenging courses anywhere ad will test the skills of the professional, elite, age group triathlon as well as the first time long course competitor.

Never let one bad week of training (or not training) define you. Summer is close...the outdoors is calling.
